Septarian, also known as Dragon Stone, is composed of Aragonite (brown), Calcite (yellow) and Limestone (grey). It is unique as it is produced from volcanic eruptions that attracted life of the sea into its molten sediment and as they died their composition ended up inside of sedimentary rock. This took place approximately 50 to 70 million years ago during Earth’s Cretaceous Period.
